Client Relations / Business Development Manager for School Bus Company

A lot of exciting things are happening at Metropolitan Transportation Network (MTN) and we’re looking for a Client Relations Manager to join our team. This is a DUAL ROLE that includes Client Relations, and Business Development.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, approachable, and professional with excellent communication, administrative skills, diligence, and ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands.

As a Client Relations & Business Development Manager, you will develop new and nurture long-term existing client relationships. In this role, you will resolve any issues that arise to ensure client satisfaction and growth.

The position requires excellent administrative and communication skills, somebody who is able to grasp customer needs and brainstorm ways to fulfill them. If you have a background in customer service, business development, and knowledge of our industry, we’d like to meet you.

Your goal will be to help us safeguard our revenue and retain our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with key employees among customers
  • Create plans to address clients’ business needs
  • Advise clients on creating profitable processes
  • Schedule regular meetings with customers to ensure they are satisfied
  • Acting as point of contact for complaints and ability to escalate issues as appropriate
  • Create RFPs and present to potential customers, and handle negotiations as necessary and ensure drafted written agreements are in a fashion which mitigate risk posed to the Company.
  • Analysis of current customer base and find future growth opportunities. Business Development experience required.
  • Ensure both the company and clients adhere to contract terms
  • Study competition to find new ways to keep customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customers’ needs
  • Create quotes for charters, partner with transportation and finance for scheduling and billing
  • Aid with legal issues to include claims and litigation matters and help with the resolution of disputes, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation.
  • Aid with administrative and other special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Client Relations, Administrative, or Business Development Manager
  • Proven track-record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Background in customer service; industry knowledge is a plus
  • Experience tracking relevant KPIs (e.g. customer satisfaction)
  • Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of CRM platforms
  • A customer-oriented attitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or a combination of work experience and education considered
